Extending the production programme to ice cube makers with a daily 150 kg output. Worldwide patent granted for the WESSAMAT wave technology developed by Theo Wessa

1987

Extending the production programme to ice cube makers with a daily 250 kg output.

Development of an electric ice crusher complete with patented crushing technology

1989 Development of an ice-making system with centrifugal ice-making technology, world-wide patent
1990 Development and market launch of Mega Line on the market with ice-making units for a daily production upwards of 500 kg and system components for the stocking and filling of ice cubes
1995 Development of a filling unit with electronic weigher for ice cube filling at precisely the weights wanted
1996 Rudolf Jäger becomes the managing director
1997 Further development of the Mega Line involving ice-making units with a daily production of 840 kg
1998

Development and market launch of the Combi Line

2000 Establishing subsidiary WESSAMAT FRANCE in Croissy Beaubourg (Paris)
2001 Production start in the new IG Nord Kaiserslautern factory as first stage in transferring production from Mackenbach to Kaiserslautern
2002 Development of the WESSAMAT ice cube dispenser. Presented to the public at the Hogatec and IKK trade fairs
2003 Development of an ice cube maker for mounting into exclusive kitchen fittings in the home
2004

Site transfer from Mackenbach to Kaiserslautern completed in February 2004

Presentation of the low-budget Smart Line and the new premium Blue Line for users not needing large quantities of ice cubes.

Presentation of the Ice-Pro stocking and filling system as well as various ice transfer systems for combination with WESSAMAT ice-making units
